Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Grace! E herself (from The Incredibles) would be happy to help you pack, dahling! But remember, NO CAPES! :)
When I visit the Resort in January, I’m typically packing jeans, t-shirts (mostly short sleeve) as well as hoodies or light jackets. I’ll throw in a long sleeve shirt or two, in case of a windy day or a cold snap) as well as one beanie cap. Most of the time, Florida is mild during the year, and a light combo of packing can cover you. Always bring a foldable poncho for pop up showers, and of course wear your walking shoes. I prefer sneakers and athletic socks, because if the sun is shining your way, you may break a sweat, but it’s unlikely in January. My hot-natured husband adores wintertime visits. Lastly, my family always brings some laundry detergent pods and a few dryer sheets.
Laundry rooms at each resort make it easy to pop a load in mid week and refresh our clothes for either a second wear or to take out the sweat. The machines are credit-card operated, but bring a mesh drawstring back to lug your clothes back and forth. The pools are heated year round, so if you have a warm weekend, bringing a bathing suit isn’t totally out of the question!
If I can help you further, please let me know. I love to be as prepared as a Wilderness Scout and pack lots of items! “The wilderness must be explored! Caw, Caw, RARRR!” ~ Lindsey P.
