We are traveling to Disney world for the first time. We plan to do three days at the parks. We have a 4 year old, 6 year old and 9 year old. If we did single parks in a day what three parks would you recommend?

First trips are extra magical, Brianna. And the ages of your little ones will make for a really memorable vacation.

I suppose if I have to choose just three of the four theme parks, I could force myself to narrow it down. For the record, though, what you’re asking me to do is akin to choosing a favorite child.

The obvious first choice is Magic Kingdom. It delivers the classic experience that comes to mind at the mention of a Walt Disney World vacation. With only one day to spend here, I’d encourage you to arrive just before the park opens to maximize your time.

For the second park, I’m going to go with Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Any Jedis in your family? If so, they’ll want to jump to lightspeed for a trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. If not, make like Mr. Potato Head and hopscotch your way over to Toy Story Land. Your kids will go googly-eyed at the theming in that area of the park. Oh, and you simply must take a spin on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway.

And…drumroll please…for my final recommendation, I’m going to send you to the wild side. That’s right, head over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a fun-filled day of exploration and adventure. Make sure you don’t skip Pandora – The World of Avatar. And lunch at Satu'li Canteen is a sure bet.

I hope that helps, Brianna. Make sure to ask another question if we can help further!
