Hi Valerie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
You will be traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort during my favorite time of the year! The Holiday Season is always extra magical. I love how beautiful the Theme Parks and the Resort hotels look with all of the seasonal decorations. One of my “must do’s” is visit
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. I love looking at all of the detail that goes into the life size Gingerbread House. Make sure if you stop in to get a gingerbread cookie!
As a person who lived with a family member that had Type 1 diabetes, I know just how stressful meal time can be…especially when traveling. One of the things that I love the most about Disney is how accommodating they are when it comes to making sure guests can enjoy their vacation when they have special dietary needs. Even though you have already made your dining reservations there is still plenty of time to put in dietary requests. You can email
Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to your visit to Disney. They do their absolute best to accommodate
special dietary requests. Also whenever you are at any restaurant even a Quick-Service restaurant you can always ask to speak to the chef on duty. I know from personal experience that the Chef’s tend to go above and beyond to help families with special needs!
I hope that you have a magical vacation!
~Heather~
