Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    Traveling to Disney World with our daughters age 7 and soon to be 3. Although our girls have been to the parks before, this is 1st time staying at Disney hotel -the Polynesian. Any recommendations of must see and do?

    Now that I've had the pleasure of staying at the Polynesian Resort, I completely understand why there are so many repeat guests. Get ready to be swept away to a tropical oasis located in the heart of Disney magic!

    There are several fun activities to enjoy at the "Poly" and many of them are even free! Just be sure to check out the activity guide provided to you at resort check-in to confirm dates/ times during your stay.

    A typical week long resort itinerary will include options like:
    • Polynesian Storytelling, Hula Dancing Lessons and Torch Lighting Ceremony in the Great Ceremonial House.
    • Coconut Racing and Hula dancing in Ohana restaurant (dinner reservation required)
    • Nightly campfire on the beach. Marshmallows and s’mores are available for purchase.
    • Disney movies on the beach near the Volcano pool.
    • Marina with water craft rentals and fishing excursions.
    • Bike rentals including surrey bicycles for 2-4 people.

    You can also see the Electrical Water Pageant and the Wishes Nighttime Fireworks Spectacular from the Polynesian's white-sand beaches!

    With all there is to do, you may wish to consider spending one full day of your vacation just experiencing the wonders of being a Polynesian Resort guest!
