Welcome to planDisney, Fiona!
I'm thrilled to see that you're planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to stay current on all of the things happening at Disney World! There's sure to be some magical pixie dust being sprinkled on the time that you'll be visiting!
I bet your party is getting really excited to come to Disney World! Young kids are the best to take to the theme parks -- that 5-7 year-old age is a golden time of childhood, I hope that they love every moment of the magic!
So, Fiona, according to the
Walt Disney World Resort Rules -- it states that, “...to board an attraction, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a person age 14 years or older.” This means that the 7-year-old will be allowed to sit alone on an attraction while you and the other adult sit with the two 5-year-olds on 2-seater attractions. However, we understand that you (or your 7-year-old) might not want them sitting by themself or next to a stranger. Let's look at some other options for your party. It is not uncommon, as the adult, to be permitted to sit behind two children (I have done this before with my nieces around the same age as your little ones), as long as I was seated in the same ride vehicle. Please note, though, that this will depend on what attraction you are riding. The Cast Member’s will also have the final say on this configuration as they know the safety logistics of the attractions the best. I strongly advise you to check with a Cast Member at the front of the attraction (as well as right before you board the attraction), as they will be able to give you personalized recommendations for each individual attraction, Fiona.
You're going to have an unforgettable trip, and I hope you cherish every moment! If you happen to have additional questions before your arrival, we would love to hear from you again -- just give a little whistle to planDisney when you need us.
See ya real soon,
Allyn
