Hello, Claudia! I’m happy to welcome you aboard planDisney!
Thank you for reaching out with your question. Disney Cruise Line does an exceptional job of providing services for Guests with disabilities. To ensure your son has a magical and accessible voyage, I recommend downloading the
Information for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions guidebook to get an overview of the services offered.
The crew is happy to help and
offer suggestions with wait times during the mandatory guest assembly drill, character lines, and more. Secure programming in Disney’s Oceaneer Club is for Guests between the ages of 3 and 10. Older children and their parents are invited to explore the club during
Open House hours. You can find the times listed in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board the ship.
The app will also list all the character encounters. I like to sit with my family at lunch on embarkation day and look over the Daily Activity Schedule. If, for example, your son sees an activity in Edge that catches his eye, you can mark it as a favorite. You’ll receive a convenient reminder on your phone fifteen minutes before the event. These notifications are helpful, especially when you get caught up in all the magic on board. The best part is that you can pre-plan all your days in advance.
I hope I was able to remove some uncertainty so you can focus on all the family fun awaiting you. If you have any concerns before setting sail, please reach out to
Disney Special Services or revisit us here at planDisney.
SEAS the adventure!
