We are traveling to Disney for UCA but extending our stay after competition. What’s the best way to get my daughters luggage from their resort to our resort?

    Hello, Monica!

Welcome to planDisney and please wish your daughter a “Good-Luck” for me. You’ll be in for a week of fun combining two of my favorite things, cheerleading and Disney. I’m so excited for you all!

Now, depending on where your daughter will be starting her stay will determine what’s the best suitcase transportation option. If your daughter and team will be staying at an All-Star Resort, then you’ll be able to use bell services to transfer her luggage to the next Disney Resort. They can either hold her luggage for you all to pick up when you’re ready to transfer to your new room, or they can transfer the luggage to the new Disney Resort for you guys. All you’ll need to do is hang on to that claim ticket so that you can collect the luggage from bell services when you are ready.

If you all are not staying at a Disney Resort, my best recommendation would be meeting at the old resort and  transferring to your new resort with the luggage using a transportation service like Uber. This will allow you to be with both, your daughter and luggage, at the same time. And it will probably make the transfer flow smoother since you’ll be together.

Monica, I hope this gives you an idea on how to continue the Disney magic with a midweek move. On the plus side, you’re staying at Walt Disney World even longer. It’s going to be a blast! Don’t forget to stop at EPCOT for the Festival of the Arts. There's so much to do and many ways for you to show off your very own creativity.

Good-Luck to your daughter and enjoy your visit!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
