Hi Kara and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I don’t think a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort during Thanksgiving is crazy at all! As a matter of fact, I will be visiting in a few weeks for Thanksgiving with my family!
Growing up, Thanksgiving weekend was always the time I visited the most magical place on earth with my mom and sister. I always had so much fun, because I loved seeing the parks dressed up for the
Holidays and the crowds always felt manageable.
Anything is possible if you have a good plan in place. The first thing you should do, at least six-months before your vacation, is book your
Disney Resort hotel. Once you have that booked you can go ahead and make your all-important
dining reservations. You can make those 180-days ahead of time.
I started making my
FastPass+ selections 60 -days before my visit, but just a few weeks ago, I modified them and still found a lot of availability for my favorite attractions at the
Magic Kingdom Park on Thanksgiving night!
Kara, I hope my tips have been helpful to you. Please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions before your visit. Helping you with all the details of your next
magical vacation is our pleasure!
