Hello, I am traveling to Disney soon with my 2 year old. He can handle sleeping in a bed, but the resort beds look a little high off the ground for him. Can you get railings/bumpers that go on the bed at the Walt Disney World resorts?

Welcome to planDisney, Abigail! How exciting to be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth with your little one; seeing the joy in his eyes as he meets his favorite characters, experiences attractions that bring to life his favorite movies, and enjoys the magical atmosphere of the theme parks is sure to create many magical memories for you!

Abigail, staying at a Disney Resort hotel means you'll be immersed in the magic even more, but it also means that you'll find the resort is family-friendly and offers lots of perks and extras to help you have a magical stay, including providing guests with bed rails or bumpers upon request. Keep in mind, Abigail, that these items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may want to contact the Tickets and Hotel Reservations phone number about a week before your trip to see if they can note your request in your reservation details. You can also check with the front desk upon your arrival to ask for bed rails.

My girls are teenagers now, but I remember their first Disney Resort hotel stays at both Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Disney's Pop Century Resort, and we were able to receive bed rails for both stays.

While staying at your Disney Resort hotel, be sure to keep an eye out for the recreational offerings that your son might enjoy! From campfires to scavenger hunts, and even pop-up character appearances, there's always magic to be found when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel!

Abigail, before I let you go, I'd love to recommend a few of the most family-friendly attractions at each theme park:
    • Magic Kingdom: Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Peter Pan's Flight
    • EPCOT: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros and The Seas with Nemo and Friends
    • Animal Kingdom: Festival of the Lion King and Kilimanjaro Safaris
    • Hollywood Studios: Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
I hope this helps, Abigail, and I hope you and your son have the best time visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth together! If you have any other planning questions before your trip, come see us again anytime here at planDisney!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
