We are traveling to Disney soon and will be spending 4 days at Disney then two days at Cocoa Beach. Can we take the magical express to Orlando airport to pick up our rental car even though we arent flying out that day? Thanks!!

    Hi Kristi,

You can do this, but you'll need to set up a bit of a workaround. Disney can only figure out which Magical Express bus to put you if they have a flight departure time. It's just the way the system works. So to get yourself on an ME bus, you'll have to give them some dummy flight information.

You should figure out what time you'll want to leave to go to the airport, then find a flight that's three hours later than this. (Magical Express bus assignments will be approximately three hours before your flight.) Give Disney that flight info and they'll give you a bus assignment.

For more information about this, you may want to head over to the independent website Search there for an article called, "Frequently Asked Questions About Disney's Magical Express."

As an alternative, you may just want to skip the airport step and rent your car right at Walt Disney World. Alamo has rental desks at the Dolphin hotel and the Disney Car Care Center. There are also rental car desks in many of the hotels within quick walking distance of Downtown Disney. This would give you more flexibility in planning your time.
