    We are traveling to Disney for my son's 5th birthday! I haven't been to Disney since I was about 10 years old. I am wondering if there are any special things the hotels or restaurants will do for him to celebrate his birthday? Any recommendations?

    Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Birthdays at WDW are the most unforgettable ones. I’m happy for your little boy. You should schedule a Character Dining Experience for him and your family. If he loves the characters from Disney Jr. channel, try Hollywood and Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, usually we get to see Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sofia, Doc McStuffins and Handy Manny. If he likes Star Wars, try the Jedi Mickey ‘s at Star Wars Dine or Star Wars Galactic Dine-In Breakfast at Sci-Fi Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. At Animal Kingdom, you should try schedule a meal at Tusker House, usually we get to see Mickey, Donald, and Goofy among others. You can order a special customized cake for him through a cake hotline 407 827-2253. Also, check Disney Floral & Gifts website for many ways to order something special for this day. If his into pirates, book for him a transformation, where he can be a pirate for a day, including bandana, eye-patch, fake earrings and tattoos, a pirate’s name and oath at The Pirates League.
