Traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with a school group sounds like the most magical field trip ever! Students and chaperones alike will enjoy experiencing classic attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom park and big thrills like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney's Hollywood Studios. A Disney Genie+ service purchase gives Guests of all ages access to Lightning Lane entrances at over 40 attractions throughout the four theme parks. Individual Lightning Lanes can also be purchased separately for a specific attraction at each park that does not appear on the Genie+ Lighting Lane attraction list.   

Children between the ages of 13 and 17 may have their own My Disney Experience accounts, but they are unable to add a payment method to their account, which is currently required for Disney Genie+ service and Individual Lightning Lane purchases. A Cast Member confirmed you have to be over 18 to make these purchases, so let's figure out another way to grant these wishes for the students in your traveling party. Any adult over 18 can purchase Disney Genie+ service or Individual Lightning Lanes for up to 12 individuals on their Family and Friends list at a time. They don't even have to be in the same location at the time of purchase. To make a day-of Genie+ purchase in the My Disney Experience mobile app as early as midnight, click the three small lines at the bottom right of the home screen, "My Genie Day," then scroll down to the purple banner and click "Get Disney Genie+ for Today." To make an Individual Lightning Lane purchase, scroll to that attraction on the Tip Board (three small lines --> Tip Board) and click the "LL Individual Lightning Lane" button associated with that attraction. Valid admission for each individual must also be linked in My Disney Experience.  

Once Genie+ is purchased, the teens can book their own Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions in the My Disney Experience app beginning at 7:00 a.m., which gives them the flexibility and independence to choose their own adventure during their park days. They can also book for a group, as long as they are connected as Family and Friends.
