We are traveling on the Disney Princess (I think) in Europe from Barcelona, to France and 3 ports in Italy. We wanted to know if at the Ports we must choose from the tours offered by Disney or are we able to book our own private tours? Thx

Welcome aboard, Sharee! Setting sail with Disney Cruise Line is always magical, but there is so much more to explore and experience when you set sail with Disney in the Mediterranean!

The Disney Magic is the ship that heads to Europe each summer, so that will be the ship on which you'll sail for your cruise. There are some great ports you'll visit, and I'm glad to hear that you're considering Port Adventures for each of them. Guests are certainly welcome to head off the ship on their own in any of the ports, and some guests do book private tours on their own. I highly recommend sticking with Disney Cruise Line's Port Adventures though. Disney works with some amazing tour operators in each port, which allows them to offer unique experiences. Plus, when you set out in port with a Disney, you can rest assured that the ship always knows where you are, how to reach you, and won't leave you behind should your adventure run late. When guests head out on their own in port, they risk running late to the ship and possibly missing the all-aboard time due to factors beyond their control. Especially in foreign ports of call, my family enjoys the security and ease of taking Disney's Port Adventures.

Since their adventures meet on the ship itself, we walk off the ship with our group, and can't miss the start time of our adventure due to the ship docking a bit late because the tour can't start without us! There are so many perks to letting Disney take care of all of the details, Sharee, I do highly recommend you check out Disney's Port Adventures first! Have fun planning, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out these Disney Cruise Line European Cruise videos for tips and sneak peeks at what you can expect on your cruise!
