We are traveling to Disney in October and will be spending most days at Magic Kingdom. We have a family of 5- three kids ages 12, 4 & 2. Trying to decide between Port Orleans Riverside and a Family Suite at AoA. Any advice on which resort to do?

    Hi Joline!

You have narrowed your Walt Disney World resort choice down to two great options. The Port Orleans Riverside resort is my favorite choice in the moderate category. I love the location and the layout and find the rooms comfortable. When you have five persons in one room it will start to get tight for you. However, many guests are not in their room that much so they don't mind being a little crowded.

The newer Art of Animation Family Suites are really quite spacious and great for the larger families. I love the fact that there is a queen bed in a separate bedroom with the other bed options in the living area. You have a small kitchenette but the real plus is that you have two complete full bathrooms. This makes getting ready in the morning easy and much faster since everyone does not share one bath.

Both options will prove to be quite good so it depends on your budget as well as the bathroom situation. With the Family Suites at Art of Animation Resort the parents will have their own room giving them the privacy to watch tv after putting the kids to bed.

I hope I have given you some thoughts to help you make up your mind for your next Disney vacation!
