Hi Emma,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. I’ve visited
Walt Disney World Resort’s Water Parks with my little guy since he was 5 1/2 months old and he’s always had a splashtacular time!
You should be able to rent a life vest (at no additional charge!) at either Water Park that will fit your little one, but it depends on how little he or she is. Based on my last visit, the smallest size life vest was for children 30 pounds and under. If your little one is still itty bitty, then it may be too big. My little guy was a chunky monkey when he was a baby, and I remember that this size life vest fit, but was a little bit big.
If you had to pick only one Water Park to visit, or if you’re worried about finding things to do if the life vests are too big for your little one, I would recommend heading to
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park with your baby. In my experience, it’s the best Water Park for little ones and not-so-strong swimmers.
Tike’s Peak is a great place for babies, with lots of shallow areas (and sand!) to allow them to splash around to their heart’s content, safely.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
