We are traveling to Disney Oct 25th- Nov 5th 2025. What is there to do for a 12 month old and a 16 month old that would be fun, entertaining and interactive?

Greetings, Katherine, and welcome to planDisney! You and the family are in for such a treat. I can't think of a better place to make magical memories than the Disneyland Resort. I visit the parks regularly with my two mini Mouseketeers, and many times, my 12-month-old nephew joins the fun, too. You can count on me to share tips and ideas to help with your planning.

First, you chose a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort. The 70th Anniversary Celebration will be underway, and you'll catch both Halloween Time and Plaza de la Familia as they are ending. Talk about a festive atmosphere!

Even the youngest Guests can enjoy many attractions, shows, and activities throughout the two parks. Here are a few of the experiences that bring a smile to my nephew's face, and things my kids enjoyed when they were very young:

    • Mickey's Toontown: Kids love exploring the different areas of this zany neighborhood and discovering all the interactive elements – there are things to sit on, touch, open, and watch. My kids still love spending time inside Mickey's House and Minnie's House. Not far from there, behind Donald's Boat, you'll find a fenced-in, padded play area specifically for "Little Goofs" ages 6-23 months.
    •  Meeting Characters: There are a lot of Disney friends who would love to say hello. I recommend using the Disneyland mobile app to see where and when you might encounter them!
    • Attractions: There are quite a few attractions without height requirements that Guests of all ages can enjoy. We love Mad Tea Party, "it's a small world," Dumbo, Jungle Cruise, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, and many others! You can filter attractions by age or height requirement in the mobile app for more ideas.
    • Entertainment: During Halloween Time last year, there was an interactive Mickey’s Trick and Treat stage show for little ones at California Adventure. Check back as the date gets closer to see if it will return!

Katherine, did you know there is a Baby Care Center inside each park? They are the perfect place to recharge with little ones. Some of the amenities include a quiet nursing room, changing tables, and a vending machine with essentials available to purchase, such as diapers and over-the-counter medicine.

If you have more questions about visiting with young kids or want to follow up on any of the information I provided here, feel free to ask me a question directly. I will wish on a star that your trip is full of magical moments and happy memories.

    Your pal,
    Kriss
