Hi Jessica!
Seeing a child's face light up when she sees Belle or clap his hands with delight when Mickey appears are special moments. I myself jump and down and shout when Tinker Bell flies overhead for the
Magic Kingdom fireworks.
Characters are out and about in the parks and some restaurants, but traditional character meet and greets are still suspended. Princesses, Mickey and friends, Winnie the Pooh and even the Country Bears appear in the parks. On my last trip, I spotted Big Al atop a Frontierland building, Princess Aurora in Epcot's World Showcase, Winnie the Pooh in
Epcot, and Mickey and Minnie dancing on the roof of the Main Street USA Train Station. At
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, I enjoyed coffee while watching Chewie inspect the premises. You are welcome to snap pictures and take distanced selfies, but hugs, up close interactions, and autographs are still currently on hold.
Various
Character Cavalcades featuring princesses, Mickey, Goofy, and others process throughout the day at the Magic Kingdom. Some select restaurants are offering modified character dining; it is definitely best to make
dining reservations for these meals. The characters do not come to your table for pictures, but distanced selfies are welcome. Your crew of small children would probably love a meal at
Hollywood and Vine or
Chef Mickey's. Eating Mickey waffles in sight of Mickey is an awesome way to start the day.
I hope this clarifies the current character situation, Jessica. Wishing your kiddos some terrific sightings of their favorite characters!
