    We are traveling to Disney in Nov. Last time stayed at a value - movies - loved it. This time booked POFQ because of the dragon pool. Have been reading not good reviews on allears.net - should we change hotels? Very concerned about our choice.

    Hi, Carletta!  November is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World!   I am so excited for you!

    Regardless of what resort you pick, you are going to find people who love them and people who dislike them.   I know I certainly have my favorites and then there are those that I'm not as fond of.

    But back to your question!   I absolutely love Port Orleans French Quarter.   With just over 1,000 rooms, it is the smallest of the Moderate Resorts giving it a cozy feel.   We always request buildings 2 or 3 (standard view) to get us close to the transportation, pool, and lobby area.  

    We enjoy the 15 minute walk down to Riverside, and the boat ride to Downtown Disney is always a huge hit with my family.   In the evenings, we like to watch the horse-drawn carriages as they make their way through the resort. 

    The rooms certainly are not fancy like you find at a Deluxe Resort, they are similar to those at the All-Stars - just a bit larger and these rooms will have 2 sinks instead of the 1 sink at  Movies.   And, the pool has that fun slide!  

    I think you will enjoy this particular resort, but if you feel you might want to change, call (407)W-DISNEY to see what your other options are.   Give it a try, you might just like the New Orleans feel of this property, and don't forget to try the Beignets at the bakery inside the food court - what a treat!   Good luck, and let me know what you decide!
