Traveling to Disney 12/7/19. Have not been there during the Christmas season for many years. Our Disney trips are usually at Halloween. We have an eight year old son and a seventeen year old daughter. What would they both enjoy during this trip?

    Hi Wendy!

The holiday season is my absolute favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort.  Let me tell you, the halls are DECKED. I am always amazed at how the decorations are tailored to reflect the ambiance of each Resort Hotel and Theme Park area.  Here's a few of my favorites:

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights at Magic Kingdom, with a special holiday parade and shows, cookies, cocoa and other treats, fireworks and SNOW on Main Street, U.S.A.!

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays features Holiday Storytellers throughout World Showcase telling the traditions and customs of their cultures, as well as Holiday Kitchens with unique food and beverage offerings. Epcot is also home of my very favorite event, the Candlelight Processional. This breathtaking show is a beautiful telling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator accompanied by a full orchestra and choir. For guaranteed seating, consider a Dining Package.

The Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs features uniquely decorated trees and an opportunity to meet Santa!

Be sure to indulge in all the seasonal snacks and goodies. (Psst...Gingerbread Ice Cream at L'Artisan des Glaces.) Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for information and dates to be announced for all this year's holiday events. Enjoy!
