I am traveling to Disney in May with a 7 month old and a 2.5 year old. Do I need to purchase Magic Bands for both of them?

Hiya, Dana! Thank you for your question, and welcome!

Boy oh boy, Dana, I'm so excited for you to get to share Walt Disney World with your tiny people! I've been able to bring my grandchildren several times, and I just love their reactions at different ages.

Because the kids won't need tickets into the theme parks, you won't need to buy them MagicBands. Even if you end up using the new Disney Genie+ service, the kids won't have to have the MagicBands to access any of the attractions.

You don't necessarily need a MagicBand, either, Dana. Of course, I can never resist the latest designs, so I usually choose a new one for each of my vacations, but with the Disney MagicMobile service, it replaces many of the things you can do with a MagicBand. You can gain access to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room, use it to enter the theme parks, or even use it for Disney PhotoPass photos.

I also wanted to mention the awesome Baby Care Centers that you'll find in each of the theme parks, Dana. They have big, cushy changing tables, high chairs, microwaves, and more for your tiny ones' needs. You can even purchase things you may have forgotten, like baby food, over-the-counter medications, or extra diapers and formula. They're a great little oasis during the heat of the day.

    Have a magical, memorable trip!
