    We are traveling to Disney March 2013. We were planning to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge but heard that it could take up to 1.5 hours to get to the various parks. Is there another Deluxe Hotel that would be a better choice?

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge/Villas is one of my favorite resorts on Walt Disney World Property!!  It has such an awesome atmosphere and feel to it!!

    I have stayed there numerous times (both in Jambo House and Kidani Village) and I must say that I have never experienced long travel time to the theme parks.  You will arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom within about five minutes of leaving the resort.  For the other three theme parks, I would say that it is an average 20-25 minute ride on the Disney Transport Bus.  You may have a quick stop at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park on the way to a theme park, but this is only about a 5-7 minute detour.  

    Please don't let the transportation be the only thing from keeping you from staying there if that is the resort you wish to stay at.  I would highly recommend it!!
