Ahoy Karina,
Thank you so much for coming to planDisney with your question. How fabulous to be planning a voyage on the
Disney Magic this summer! You will be sailing into some tropical fun in the sun for sure.
One of my family's favorite parts of a Disney Cruise Line voyage is a stop at
Castaway Cay. It is a true island paradise, with beaches, family fun, and relaxation all available! Everything is right at your fingertips - even the beach chairs are all set up! All you have to do is grab some towels as you disembark from the ship and head to a wonderful spot to enjoy the sun.
There are many types of bikes available at the
bike rental area on Castaway Cay. You can find bikes for adults and for children, and also bikes for adults that have a child seat integrated. Children will need to wear helmets, and they are provided. The bike rental area is located at the far end of the family beach. When you arrive, you will be able to check out all of the bicycles available to be sure that there are some that suit your needs!
In terms of port days, you are not required to get off the ship. You could go on a Disney cruise and never leave the ship - well, until disembarkation day, of course! You are more than welcome to stay on board on any day that you wish to. My family will sometimes choose to do this. In fact, port days can be excellent days to really explore the ship. My family sometimes chooses to use a port day to enjoy the pool areas as they tend to be the least crowded on port days as many guests will leave the ship.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Karina! Have a great time planning your magical cruise, and please feel free to sail back to planDisney with any further questions.
