We are traveling to Disney with our kids, ages 5, 3, and 7 months. We will take our older boys to see the fireworks show in the Magic Kingdom. Should we take our infant, or schedule a sitter? And what kind of qualifications/background checks are done?

    Hi Christina,

I have taken my one year old to the parks while the fireworks were going on and he was fine with it. Some of the louder pops can be a bit heavy on the ears so I suggest using some type of earplugs for your child. My kids 11 and 7 have never been fans of the big booms and still hold their ears while they are watching the fireworks.

Some of the Deluxe resorts offer child care services but the age limit is a potty trained three year old. Disney does contract outside services which will come to your room and watch your child for you. These services are provided for a fee and you would need to contact them yourself. I would call the resort which you are going to be staying in and see who they recommend. Once you contact the service I'm sure they will be able to tell you everything they do to certify that your child will be safe in their care.

Thank you very much for asking the Moms Panel! If you have additional questions please let us know! Have a great day!
