I will be traveling to Disney on June 20 thru June 27, 2009. I am still trying to get Character dining at Chef Mickeys. Is there any special time I should be calling to get reservations,,I am staying at ALLSTAR Movies Resort.

    Hi Jean,

Congrats on your upcoming trip!  Disney dining accepts reservations up to 90 days before your arrival, and since you are within that window, you can call at any time.  If you are asking what days/times the dining line is less busy, I suggest calling in the early afternoon, as many people call first thing in the morning when they hit their "90 mark" in an effort to get all of their top dining choices.  As you can imagine, Chef Mickey's is very popular, so if you are not able to get a dinner here, I'd recommend trying for breakfast and/or another character meal.  Mickey is at the Garden Grille at Epcot for dinner (along with Chip and Dale and Pluto).  I have found it a lot easier to get a table here than at Chef Mickey's.  Another great choice is Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness Campground.  This is a dinner show that features a Country Western Band, and were the audience is invited to dance with their favorite characters the whole night!  It's a blast, and gets great reviews by most visitors.  My boys love the BBQ.

Other fun character meals include Cape May Buffet breakfast at the Beach Club and Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.

    Have a great trip!
