I am traveling to Disney in June for the Special Olympics. I am staying at Coronado Springs--an event hotel. Will there be buses from the hotel to ESPN Wide World of Sports? Will there be buses from ESPN to the theme parks? Thanks!

Hi Robert, and welcome to planDisney!

The Special Olympics is a beautiful organization, and the fact that the games are being held at Walt Disney World Resort makes it even more amazing!

Per the ESPN Wide World of Sports website, all guests are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. However, I searched the Special Olympics USA Games website. The good news is that limited shuttle transportation to and from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and other Disney locations will be provided to you as a Disney Resort guest.

It might be a good idea to rent a car to get around on property to be flexible in your scheduling and plans. You can rent a car either from the airport or from The Car Care Center - Car Rental Facility, and to make the service even better, they offer shuttle service and will pick you up from a variety of locations within Walt Disney World Resort. Of course, you can always utilize the services of a smart device ride share company to pick you up and get you to your destination. Either way, you will be engulfed in the magic, so I am sure you will make the right transportation decisions.
