We are traveling to Disney in June 2009 over my daughter's 5th birthday. Is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience worth the money? $189 seems pricey for hair/makeup/nails/princess dress. How long does the appt take for the 'works'?

    Hi Wendy!

Let me start by saying that while I don't have any little princesses myself, I've traveled with a whole bunch over the years, and can state without question that all of them LOVED the "transformation process."  The fairy godmothers-in-training estimate that you should allow between 60-75 minutes for an appointment, but I've been there when it was crowded, and they were running a few minutes behind, and at other times when they were ahead of schedule and breezed through appointments, so use this as a guideline rather than definitive answer.

The Castle Package which includes hair, makeup, nails, and a costume plus a photo package does start at $189.  I have another suggestion to make your daughter equally thrilled while not causing your wallet an ulcer.  Bring your own outfit!  You can pick up princess costumes just about anywhere.  I've seen them for sale at online auctions for less than $10.  You can then sign up for the Crown Package (everything in the "fancy-shmansy" one except the costume and pictures) for $54.95.  Bring your own camera and "voila"!
Whichever package you chose, I think the experience is definitely magical and one that your little girl will remember and cherish!  Happy (almost) birthday to her!

    Have a wonderful trip!
