I am traveling to Disney with a group of 14 people but two of them will be under 3 years old. When doing some research I saw the maximum number of people on Disney genie is 12. Will we be able to book rides for our group or do toddlers need to be included?

    Hey Howdy Hey Brandon!

Welcome to planDisney!  I love sharing the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with family and friends and am delighted to see that you're planning a visit with a large group.  When planning for larger parties, it's important to think ahead so you're right on track doing your research before your visit!

Brandon, Disney Genie+ is a great way to get to the fun faster.  Our family considers it a "must-buy," especially with young kids who inevitably get bored, hungry, or tired (or all three!) while waiting in queue lines for rides and attractions.  Since children under three are considered very special guests of Mickey and do not require theme park admission, you do not need to include them in Lightning Lane selections.  While the maximum party size for Lightning Lane selections is 12, the toddlers you are traveling with won't count in that number so you're party of 14 should all be able to enjoy riding together.

Before your visit, you'll want to make sure that your entire group is linked on the Family and Friends List which will allow you to view and make plans for each other in the My Disney Experience Mobile App.  This way one person in the group can make Lightning Lane selections for everyone so that you can all have the same return time for rides.  Don't forget that you can purchase Disney Genie+ after midnight on the day(s) you plan to use it and you can start making your first Lightning Lane selection at 7:00 AM.

Did you know that there are over 140 rides, attractions, and entertainment options at Walt Disney World Resort available for guests of any height?  Your whole group from the young to the young at heart will be able to enjoy making so many wonderful memories together.  Some of our favorite family rides are found at Magic Kingdom Park and include The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

When it comes time for the adults in your group to enjoy some bigger thrills, you may be interested in using Disney's Rider Switch program.  This allows for an adult to wait with the non-riding kids and then enjoy the attraction without having to wait in line!  It's available at select rides throughout all four theme parks.

Brandon, I hope this helps as you continue to plan for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!  You've got a friend in me here at planDisney and I invite you to stop by and see us again with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future!

    See ya real soon,
