Frances from NY Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I will be traveling to Disney with my girlfriends in November. Can I use my Magic Band that is linked with my account when I am with them? How do I do that? Or do I need to purchase another band? We will be staying off property. Thank you!

    Hi Frances!

You are speaking my language!  I'm currently in planning mode for my own girls-only trip coming up soon and am so excited.

You can certainly use your previous MagicBand on your next visit to Walt Disney World!  The suggested battery life of a MagicBand is about 2 years, but I have had some that are much older than that.  You won't be able to use your MagicBand for charging privileges, but it will still be convenient for park entry and entering the FastPass+ queue.  Your previous MagicBand is still automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account, so there is no need to do anything for it to work on your next visit.

Do you have any exciting plans while you're with your girlfriends?  We have booked a new tour called the Taste of Magic Kingdom VIP Park Tour that takes you behind the scenes at Disney to check out a couple of the kitchens as well as tasting some delicious treats.  Another fun thing we have planned is the Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs.  Yes, our trips revolve around food.  Ha!

Stop back by if you'd like any additional recommendations for your trip or if you have more vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
