We are traveling to Disney the first week of Dec 2014. I am wondering when tickets for Mickey's Very Magic Christmas go on sale? Also, how does the party work to get in at 4? Do you need to leave for a period of time before the party starts at 7?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Cheryl ~

December is a wonderful month to visit Disney World! The parks and resorts are beautiful beyond words.

Typically, the tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) go on sale in the spring. Last year, tickets went on sale for the 2013 dates on May 1, 2013. Keep watch on the link above and on the Disney Parks Blog for an announcement. If you're on twitter, be sure to follow @DisneyParks and @WaltDisneyWorld. You can also keep your eyes on the official Walt Disney World Facebook page.

The official party hours for MVMCP are 7 p.m. - midnight but Guests are typically allowed to enter the Magic Kingdom prior to 7 p.m. (usually as early as 4 p.m.) on event evenings. In past years, Guests attending MVMCP were given wristbands as they entered the park. Only Guests with wristbands for that evening's event are allowed to enter or remain in the park once MVMCP begins at 7 p.m. There will be Cast Members stationed at several points in the Magic Kingdom. Guests not wearing wristbands will not be allowed past those points and will need to make their way to the exit of the park.

If you are visiting the Magic Kingdom during the day and staying for MVMCP that evening, there will be a couple of places in the park you can go to get your special event ticket scanned and get your wristband so that you can remain for the party. That way you do not have to leave and re-enter the park.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions. We hEAR to help!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
