Traveling to Disney for the first time. Tryong to decide between 5 nights at Port Orleans or 6 at a value resort. Any opinions? Also is the Dinning plan enough food to keep little ones full all day or should we bump it up to the deluxe.

First time trips to Walt Disney World are my favorite to answer. I would suggest that you begin by ordering the free Walt Disney World Planning DVD. This great tool will provide you great information on what to see, where to stay, places to eat and even when to go. My family and I always use it to plan our trips to the Happiest Place on Earth. As for where to stay, I am a huge fan of the Port Orleans resorts. I will be staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside on my next visit. I fell in love with the architecture and being surrounded by the tranquility of the Louisiana Bayou with the picturesque waterfront Resort hotel that embodies the traditions born of steamboat travel, formal garden parties, and mint juleps on the front porch. Take a romantic carriage ride down a shady lane, dine on delicious Southern favorites or simply sit back and relax and let the cool waters of the Sassagoula River glide by. This is the perfect place to just relax after a perfect day at the parks. Now, there are some incredible value resorts. I just had the pleasure of seeing Disney's Art of Animation resort and all I can say is that Disney has outdone itself. This resort is stunning and I really cannot wait to stay there. For now though, I am looking forward to the gorgeous Port Orleans. As for the Disney Dining Plans, I am a huge fan. It gave me great food options and more importantly, piece of mind. I knew that I did not have to worry about having the money on me to pay because it was already taken care of which really allowed my to relax and enjoy my trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I hope this helps you enjoy your vacation and I cannot wait to see you at the parks.
