We are traveling to Disney for the first time in November! I am curious to know about dining reservations and how the fast pass works as we are not staying on disney property. How soon can we book dining and any recommendations for dining with a 2 year old

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kara!

I'm happy to help you plan a magical first visit to Walt Disney World Resort! You are visiting during my favorite time of year. The weather is comfortable, and Epcot Food & Wine Festival is underway.

You can begin booking Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days before your vacation online or using the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can search with filters by location, experience, price range or cuisine to find the perfect restaurants for your family. If you prefer to speak to a Dining Reservation Specialist, simply call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. I recommend a few character dining experiences like Disney Junior Play ‘n Dine breakfast at Hollywood & Vine or dinner with Mickey Mouse at Chef Mickey's. To satisfy the adult palette, consider a meal at The Hollywood Brown Derby or Morimoto Asia. If you are looking in-park options, Tony's Town Square Restaurant, 50's Prime Time Café, Coral Reef Restaurant or Tusker House Restaurant are a few of our favorites.

As a day Guest, you can begin reserving your FastPass+ experiences 30 days before your arrival, and reserve up to three per day in one theme park. To assist you in finding attractions your little Mouseketeer can enjoy, take a look at this Disney Parks Blog post about attraction height requirements.

My space is limited. I do hope you find the suggestions helpful, and please visit us again if we can offer additional assistance for your first visit.
