Hello! We are traveling to Disney in February. We have two kids and one will be 2 at the time of our trip. I know he is not included in our dining plan, but my kids usually share a meal. How does that work at character dining, pre-pay or buffet?

    Hi, Kyle!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You ask a great question, too. Disney knows that the littlest guests can work up quite an appetite, so when using a Disney Dining Plan, guests under the age of 3 "may share from an adult plate at no charge" (See your particular Disney Dining Plan pdf in the link above to locate that information.)

This means that when enjoying a fantastic character buffet, such as at The Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey'sTusker House Restaurant or other great buffet, your little one will be able to dine like a big kid.

Two great features of choosing character buffet meals at Walt Disney World are fit for toddlers: a) your food is ready--and visible--as soon as you are seated (great for suddenly starving, but possibly picky eaters); b) CHARACTERS! Those Disney friends who will greet you at your table mean that do NOT have to spend additional time in your day waiting in line to meet them elsewhere. Instead, you get to sit down, relax, enjoy a delicious meal and pose for pics with your favorite pals. Such a great idea!

Send more questions as you plan your family vacation, Kyle. We love to help!
