    Traveling to Disney Feb 2013. Staying at AOA resort. Have reservations at T-Rex at 5:30 on our first day. Planning to go to AK prior to T-Rex. Are there buses that run from AK to Downtown? Travel time to allow from AK? Travel time if going from AOA?

    Hi Mark,

    In order to get from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park to the Downtown Disney Area, your best bet would be to catch a bus from Animal Kingdom to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and then from there, you could either walk, take a boat or bus to the Downtown Disney Area.

    There is a fantastic transportation wizard tool available at www.ourlaughingplace.com which I like to use to assess what is the best route to take and how long it will take to get from one place to another whilst at Walt Disney World. This might be of help to you when planning how to get from A to B during your visit. (I would recommend that you add an extra 20 minutes for each journey in order to allow for time which will be spent waiting for the next bus/boat to arrive.)

    As a general guide, I would always recommend allowing at least an hour when travelling from one place to another at Walt Disney World.
