Hi! I am traveling to Disney for only 1 day! My parents are snowbirds in Florida and we visit them each year and decided to spend only 1 day at Disney this year. I believe we are choosing the Magic Kingdom. What are the absolute must sees and dining?

    Hi, Shannon!

With just one day to visit the Magic Kingdom, make it count! Let's plan theday, then you can modify as needed.  Let's squeeze in as much magic as possible!

Start with booking the earliest breakfast reservation possible at Crystal Palace with Pooh and his friends. Skip this if you cannot get a reservation before 9am. If you do not have a reservation, do a quick snack before arriving. Be at the front gates 15 minutes prior to opening.  Start your day by getting Peter Pan fastpasses, then head to the Little Mermaid stand-by line. Work your way through Fantasyland.  Early in the day, enjoy the attractions in Tomorrowland that will have longer lines later in the day:  Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, and the Flying Dumbos.

Enjoy lunch at Cosmic Rays, finish up any last attractions in Tomorrowland or Fantasyland, then head to the other end of the park.  Get a fastpass for Splash Mountain, then enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin's Flying Carpets, or the Enchanted Tiki Room.  You will not be able to go on all the Adventureland/Frontierland attractions, so pick a few favorites and use fastpasses when possible.

Before dinner, make a stop at Haunted Mansion.  Book a dinner at Liberty Tree Inn or Tony's Town Square Restaurant.  After dinner, enjoy one or two more attractions, then pick a good viewing location for the nighttime parade and Wishes fireworks.

Tired yet?  Wow, I sure am!  You will have a full day, so bring strollers for any little Mouseketeers, as well as a backpack with snacks, juice boxes, a camera, sunscreen, and even a change of clothes for unexpected messes.  I hope this is a good start for you!  Look through my suggestions then let me know if you need more details or suggestions, I am happy to help you plan a perfect Magic Kingdom day!
