We are traveling to Disney for the Christmas week and want to know how to reserve a viewing spot to see the Christmas Parade? Am I able to make a Fast Pass reservation now for next month? Any advice for making the most of the crowded Christmas week?

    Hi, Valerie!

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! December is certainly a magical time of the year to visit with all of the festive decorations all over.

I see where you might be thinking that you can reserve a viewing spot for Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. There is a place to add this entertainment to your itinerary in your My Disney Experience account, but doing that does not reserve a specific viewing spot or time, it will simply add the experience to your itinerary as a reminder. I really love to watch the Parade from either of the 2 corners at the beginning of Main Street USA, either by The Emporium or the Main Street Confectionary. There is something about having the view of the Parade coming down the street with all of the gorgeous garlands draping overhead that just makes my heart sing! I recommend trying to view from anywhere on Main Street USA if you can!

The FastPass+ system is currently in the testing phases at Walt Disney World. Guests are being randomly selected to participate in this testing. If your family was selected, you should have received an invitation letter from Disney either via email or regular mail. You can also tell if you were selected by logging into your My Disney Experience account. If you are prompted to order your MagicBands, go ahead and do that. The system will alert you to schedule FastPass+ reservations if they're available to you. Please note that not every Guest will be selected.

I recommend that you utilize the FastPass as much as you can during your vacation. There are so many gorgeous sights to see and you really want to take things slow and soak it all in. I'm just about out of room here, but I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write back in with more questions!

    Have a Pixie Dusted vacation!
