Hi Sharon,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am always delighted to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
As you plan your trip, I do want to share the
Services for Guests with Disabilities Guide. In particular, if you have a member of your party with a mobility disability, be sure to review the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. This guide will provide more information on attractions that allow guests to remain in an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV). Since my husband has a mobility disability, we have also found the Park Guides for Guests with Disabilities helpful - this
Park Guide of Epcot will give you an idea of the information included.
If you decide to take a break mid-day, just save your
parking and ECV receipts. When you return, you may use those to park again and pick up another ECV. Just know that parking may be affected by park closures should any park reach capacity during the day and ECVs are available on a first come, first serve basis. Having said that, we have always been able to rent an ECV when my husband needed one. You may, however, want to use one of the Disney featured providers. They can deliver the ECV to participating resort hotels so that you would have it for the duration of your trip! The list of featured providers is located on the
Wheelchair Rentals site.
Sharon, cast members have always been incredibly helpful when we had questions about disability services, so be sure to ask if you need assistance while there!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
