My DH and I will be traveling to diney in Aug. and taking advantage of the dinning plan. We have reservations to stay @ pop century. Do you think it would be worth the approx. $400.00 to upgrade to Port Orleans Riverside?

Both the Pop Century Resort and Port Orleans Riverside are great resorts.   But Riverside has always been a favorite of mine.   Before my husband and I had kids, we used to love staying at this resort in the Alligator Bayou section.  We really enjoyed the walk to the Riverside Mill food court in the mornings.  The landscape around the property is so beautiful.  In the evenings, we would walk down to Port Orleans French Quarter or take the boat ride to Downtown Disney.    This is a nice resort for walking or just relaxing at one of the quiet pools.

So while you will also have a nice vacation at Pop Century and will enjoy their tye-dyed cheesecake (yum!) if you can fit it into your budget, Riverside really is a great option!  On the flip side, if you plan to be on the go for your entire trip, you might want to save that $400 for your next trip to WDW!

I hope you and your husband have a wonderful vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
