Hello! We will be traveling this December for Christmas. Considering the crowd levels at Christmas time, I am interested in the new Minnie Vans. Will the vans be able to use the WDW bus lanes or will they be subject to the regular traffic lanes? Thanks!

    Welcome back, Tricia!

So happy to help you with more of your Walt Disney World planning!

Christmas time at Walt Disney World is my most favorite holiday and that time of year brings in large crowds. Visiting during the week of Christmas and New Years Eve is absolutely magical with all of the lights, decorations, and events happening around the park. This is one of the busiest times of the year for Mickey and his pals.

No information has been provided on if the Minnie Vans will still be in operation during the holiday season. Riding in a Minnie Van will be similar to riding in a car and using the normal traffic lanes as other vehicles, such as taxis and Uber.

If the Minnie Vans are transporting guests during that time, you would need to have the Lyft mobile app available on your cell phone or tablet. Currently, Minnie Vans can only be reserved by using this app. If they are still operating during the holiday season, securing one is based on availability.

Tricia, enjoy your magical holiday vacation! See us again if you have more questions!
