Traveling with DH, DD8 and DS5 in early June. Between WL and YC, which is the best choice for location and nice rooms. Pool at YC looks great but is it so crowded that it is less enjoyable? Thanks!

Elizabeth, my family are Yacht Clubbers! We have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it is indeed a wonderful spot but we love the location and the amenities of the Yacht Club.

If you are looking at the best pool facility it is indeed Stormalong Bay that is shared by the Beach and the Yacht Club resorts.  Any of the Disney pools can be very crowded on a warm day in Florida but I have never felt this water facility was any more crowded then the others.  It is strictly enforced that you must be a Yacht or Beach Club guest so you do not get other resort guests coming there. Occasionally if the Boardwalk pool is under rehab you would have that added number. It has great slides, lazy rivers, and best of all it has a wonderful sandy bottom for the little ones. They will feel like they are really at the beach and sit and play for hours with their pails and shovels.

The rooms at both resorts are nice.  The Wilderness Lodge will have a rustic decor where the Yacht Club will be more formal not only in the guest rooms but also the lobby.  They are about the same size.  We enjoy the location of the Yacht Club as you are just a five minute walk to EPCOT and a 15-20 minute boat ride to Hollywood Studios making two of the four parks very accessible.
