Hi Gloria! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so excited to hear about your upcoming visit with your daughter and
grandchildren! I can't think of a better place to spend your day together than at Magic Kingdom Park.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a very popular attraction because it is SO much fun! It was the first roller coaster that my son rode and is still his favorite today. I am always shocked by how smooth the entire ride is! Since you don't have a FastPass+ for this busy attraction, I suggest arriving at the park extra early to be among the first people in
Magic Kingdom Park. This will help to reduce your wait time for this attraction as it quickly climbs up to an hour or more. Even as one of the first people to head to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I would still expect to spend 30 minutes or so waiting.
With the two lines of
FastPass+ and Standby, there are two separate entrances. Standby lines generally have many twists and turns to them and are much longer to accommodate more people. FastPass+ is shorter and more of a direct route to the ride. Near the spot where you board the attraction, the two lines merge by direction of a Cast Member and essentially this means that FastPass+ has skipped most of the queue and boards the attraction must faster. Even though you don't have a FastPass+ for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, I still encourage you to use it on other attractions to save time, so you can experience more with your family!
I hope this helps explain the attraction queues a bit, Gloria! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
