I am traveling from Canada and will be in the parks on November 11th, which is Veterans Day in the USA and Remembrance Day in Canada. Are there any special places/moments/ceremonies where we can take time out of the day and pay our respect?

Hi Kara!  Thank you so much for your question.  I think it is so nice that you want to take time to acknowledge those who have served for our countries while you are at Walt Disney World.  The best way for you to do this would be at Magic Kingdom, where each day there is a Flag Retreat Ceremony that takes place at 5 pm at Town Square on Main Street U.S.A.   A park guest, usually a veteran, is selected to assist, while patriotic music is played and the flag is lowered and folded.  It is always a very special time of day and would be an excellent way to spend some moments of reflection on Veterans Day/Remembrance Day.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question Kara - please don't hesitate to ask any other questions you have while planning your Walt Disney World vacation.  Have a magical day!
