We are traveling to California in April and would like to know the average amount of days needed to see both parks (Disneyland and California Adventure). Our 2 kids are 8 and 6 years old.

    Hello Michele!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

The amount of time needed to see both parks at Disneyland Resort can vary greatly by family based on preferences, attractions you would like to see, night time events, as well as if you will be staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels and taking advantage of the pools and other amenities.

Personally, my family of 5 (kids ages range from 7 to 16), we prefer to have 2 days per park. We love Disney California Adventure Park and Cars Land so much! As well as evening events like World of Color and the Paint the Night Parade. Over in Disneyland Park, Tomorrowland and all of the new features in the Season of the Force with Star Wars takes the cake! But the most magical of all is watching the Fireworks over Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. All can be done in 1 day per park, but why rush the magic?!

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
