Howdy, Linda, and welcome to planDisney! When it comes to a Walt Disney World vacation, there's nothing I love more than traveling with family. I'm so glad to hear you'll be spending time with your brother on your upcoming visit, and I'm more than happy to answer your question about Disney's
Lightning Lane Multi Pass system. Let's saddle up and get straight to your question!
Linda, some of my very favorite Disney World memories are from trips spent with extended family. We love traveling as a big group and soaking up the magic together! Sometimes, we all stay at the same Disney World resort. Other times, we split up based on differing budgets or interests. But no matter where we stay, we always find time to meet up at the parks to enjoy our favorite attractions together!
As the primary planner in my family, I've had lots of practice booking Lightning Lanes for big groups of people, and I'm happy to report that you will not need your brother's resort reservation in your My Disney Experience app to book his Lightning Lane selections. However, you will
need to connect your account to your brother's in your
Family & Friends List. First, make sure he has a valid park ticket, and then tap the "Add a Guest" button on your Friends & Family page. Next, follow the instructions to link with your brother's account. If he doesn't already have his own Disney account, tap "Add a New Guest Who Doesn't Have a Disney Account." In either case, he will receive an email, which he should use to accept your invitation. Once you're connected, you'll be able to book Lightning Lanes for him as soon as your 7-day window opens up. You'll also be able to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass selections for him once you're inside the parks.
Before I go, there's one last thing I'd like to mention. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is home to one of my very favorite Disney World experiences: the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! It's silly, it's goofy, and it's always sure to fill your belly! This high-spirited, all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner show is Disney magic at its best, and a great way to share some laughs with your family.
Linda, I hope this information is helpful and that you have an amazing time with your brother in Disney World! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find us right here at planDisney!
So long, partner,
Allison
