We r traveling with 9 & 14 y.o. boys. We reserved some excursions. Please clarify if we can cancel 3 days prior- to the excursion date or to the cruise date? OR, what if the boys want to stay on-board, can we modify our tours to take them off?

    Hi, Sonia!

For most excursions, you can cancel Port Adventures three days or more in advance of your sail date without a penalty. Depending on the tour operator and arrangements with Disney Cruise Line (DCL), you can sometimes make modifications to your reservation while you're on board. However, when in doubt, leave 'em out! It's much easier to make an addition (or substitution) rather than a cancellation, and Port Adventures are charged to your shipboard account.  Once you've reached $500 on your shipboard account-- which is easy to do with several people on a Port Adventure -- your credit card on file is charged.

The only caveat is to be aware that some Port Adventures are more popular than others and have the potential of booking completely even before you set sail.  Therefore, you may want to get a DCL vacation specialist to advise you by calling (800) 951-3532.  They can tell you specifically about the Port Adventures and how popular they are for your specific cruise.

For me, Port Adventures through DCL is the way to go for my family. I don't have to worry about transportation or the details, and it allows for my children to truly experience the unique ports of call. They love DCL ships and would never leave if we allowed it. Yet, we want our children to have the enriching experiences travel offers by participating in Port Adventures.

I hope this helps you plan for your family. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
