Hi there! We are traveling for my birthday (Halloween) and I’m trying to figure out which day to do which park for lowest crowds! We are wanting to do Epcot and MK and will be there the 29th, 30th, and 31st. Any recommendations?

    Boo to you, Kaley!

A warm welcome to planDisney and a very happy (almost) birthday to you. I'm so excited to hear you'll be celebrating both a holiday and a special milestone at The Most Magical Place on Earth very soon! This is a spook-tacular time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm thrilled to help you prepare for a ghoulishly gleeful getaway.

Kaley, I asked Madame Leota's crystal ball about crowd sizes for the upcoming week but the future is still unclear. However, I'm happy to provide my own personal recommendations based on my own past experiences! Typically, I've observed lighter crowds at Magic Kingdom Park on days that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place. This year, there are parties scheduled on October 29th and 31st, so, if you're aiming for lowest crowd sizes, I would probably try to visit Magic Kingdom Park on the 29th. However, the theme park does close early on those dates, so if you're hoping to maximize your time at Magic Kingdom Park, then you'd be better off visiting there on the 30th.

EPCOT is incredibly popular this time of year because the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is in full swing! The theme park hours are consistent throughout the week of your visit, so I think any date you've mentioned would be a great day to visit EPCOT. Typically, during festivals, I've observed generally lower crowd sizes on weekdays and earlier in the day. Be sure to check out the lineup for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series to see which artist(s) will be performing during your visit!

For your third theme park ticket, you could either visit Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT a second time, or you could pop over to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park! If you decide to visit the latter, be sure to spend some time at DinoLand U.S.A. before it goes extinct to make way for new magic in the coming months. Wherever you decide to visit, be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday celebration button so that other Guests and Cast Members can celebrate your special day alongside you!

Kaley, I hope you've found these suggestions helpful and I wish you a magical and memorable Walt Disney World Resort vacation! If you have any additional questions before or during your trip, you can always return to see us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon,
