We’ll be traveling to Batuu on Thursday! We had a question on Rise & Savi’s! So we have a set time to build our lightsaber, what happens if our Boarding group is during our workshop time? How flexible is the boarding group time?

    Bright Suns, Brennan!

Welcome back to planDisney! You’re heading to the Black Spire Outpost on the Planet of Batuu! Safe travels and enjoy your time on the Outer Rim. You’re in luck, I’ve traveled to this planet many times and I would be happy to answer your question.

I’m delighted to hear that you’re planning to participate in the wonderful tradition of creating a custom lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Your experience at Savi’s Workshop should take about 20-30 minutes. And, once your Boarding Group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is called, you’ll have approximately two hours to return to the entrance to engage in an epic battle with the First Order. So, even if your Boarding Group gets called before or during your reservation, you should still have plenty of time to return to the attraction. I recommend keeping an eye on how the Boarding Groups are progressing throughout the day by using the My Disney Experience App. If you're concerned that you may be cutting it too close, mention the potential issue to one of the Cast Members upon check-in at Savi's Workshop to find out what they recommend.

While you’re in Batuu, make sure to immerse yourself in the culture. Try the Blue and Green Milk at the Milk Stand. Pilot the Millennium Falcon and sample the local cuisine! My personal favorite is the Felucian Kefta & Hummus Garden Spread from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo!

Enjoy your time exploring the Galaxy’s Edge
