Hi we will be traveling from Australia and we have a 14 year old who has Aspergers. What details do we need to provide to obtain a DAS card? Should we provide his diagnoses papers or a doctor's certificate? Is he too old to get a DAS card?

    Greetings Fiona!
I'm thrilled to hear you will be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth with your 14-year-old son!
You will find that the Disneyland Resort is a very accommodating place for guests of all ages, backgrounds and special needs.
In reference to the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card, here's what you need to know:
*Upon arriving at the Parks, guests interested in a DAS Card must visit either City Hall inside Disneyland or the Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure. There is no age restriction for this service.
*A friendly Guest Relations Cast Member will be happy to discuss your specific needs. It may not be a bad idea to take copies of your medical records for this part of the process.
*Guest Relations Cast Members will work with you individually to provide
assistance. Based on your specific needs, DAS or other accommodations
may be provided.  Remember, the goal of DAS is to accommodate folks who aren’t able to wait in a conventional line due to a disability.
*If DAS is provided, you will participate in a registration process, which requires providing your valid theme park ticket and having a photo taken of your son. If preferred, a photo may be taken of you instead.
    I hope this helps!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and I hope you have a Magical time!
Sending Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust,
    -Anabel M.
