Hello. I will be traveling to Aulani this August with my 20 month old. What are my options for daycare? Thank you.

    Aloha, Melody!

Welcome to planDisney and mahalo (that means "thank you" in Hawaiian) for stopping by with your excellent question about your upcoming trip to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.  Melody, your 'ohana is going to love all of the wonderful experiences of this magical resort. There is so much to do with the Keiki (that means "child" in Hawaiian), and our tots loved the Keiki Cove Splash Zone, Character Dining, and looking for those funny Menehune throughout the Resort.

Melody, the onsite childcare, Aunty's Beach House, is available for children ages 4 to 12. Because your little one is too young for this, I have a few suggestions. I would start by contacting the Holoholo Desk to see if there are onsite babysitting services or any local childcare services they prefer for onsite private babysitting.  Our family has personally used - and loved - The Nanny Connection.  We have used them in Maui, but they also service Oahu, and we have had wonderful experiences year after year with this team.  There is another service that is a preferred provider of many area Resorts called Kama`aina Kids.  We haven't used them, so I can't speak to their service but it seems they do work at hotels in the Ko'Olina area.

The concierge can let you know if they partner with a preferred provider as well. Typically these services have nannies or babysitters who are familiar with the Resort, come with activities to keep your little Keiki busy in the room, and will follow any instructions you have including for feeding, napping, etc.   They typically register with the hotel and have experience at Aulani, or you can request someone who has specifically been to Aulani and has the specific experience you need.

I hope this helps you, Melody!  If you have any further Aulani questions, stop back and see me here and I'll be so glad to help you.  See where the line in the sky meets the sea? It calls me, and it will call you too once you experience the magic of Disney with the added spirit of Aloha at Aulani.

A hui hou (that means "see you soon" in Hawaiian,)
