Hi, we are traveling in August to Disney. Part of our family will be staying at Fort wilderness and we are staying at Port Orleans, are we able to visit them and enjoy the pool or vise versa?

    Hi Chabela,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! It’s so exciting to hear that you’ll be having a grand family vacation later this summer. I planned one of these a few years ago and my family still talks about some of the memories we made!

In the past, guests were able to pool hop pretty easily around the Walt Disney World Resort. Though I haven’t seen any information about it coming back, I do think you’ll be okay to go with your family because you are with guests of the Resort. Since your family will be staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and you’ll be staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, you should be able to go back and forth throughout the Resorts and enjoy the amenities freely. Whenever you’re at each other’s Resorts, I suggest staying together since they’ll be familiar with Fort Wilderness and you’ll be familiar with Port Orleans.

As you visit one another, remember that you can always hop on a bus to Fort Wilderness or Port Orleans from the Theme Parks. In my experience, the buses are the easiest mode of transportation when resort hopping because all the resort buses will be in one place!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare to make some amazing memories in August. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
