Hi Dianna,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What an amazing family trip you have planned!
Since there are nine of you, I would first recommend the family style and buffet restaurants. Family style restaurants are so much fun because the food is good and can be shared. Two of our favorite family style restaurants are Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom and 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. We also love to do character meals, many of which are served buffet style, so each person can go grab her or his own food. There are always lots of nice options so everyone can usually find something to eat. A few of our favorite character meals are The Crystal Palace (breakfast), 1900 Park Fare (dinner), and Chef Mickey's. If you plan to visit Disney Springs, I would also suggest T-REX so that you can dine with the dinosaurs!
Be sure to make
advanced dining reservations for every sit down meal. It will be nearly impossible for you to walk into a restaurant and get seated with nine people in a reasonable amount of time without a reservation. Make those reservations as close to your 180 day mark as possible. When making dinner reservations, also make them for a bit earlier than you might normally prefer. It could take a while for your entire group to finish eating, so you want to be sure that you allot at least two hours for a sit down meal.
Dianna, also keep in mind that the group can split up for some meals. On one trip, my cousin took her daughter and my girls to Cinderella's Royal Table while my mom, aunt and I ate at a quick-service restaurant. We all had a blast even though our experiences were very different.
Prior to making dining reservations, be sure that you have everyone linked to your My Family and Friends List. Then, reserve, reserve, reserve!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
